POSITION SUMMARY:
The CNC Machinist/Toolmaker is directly responsible for MasterCam and ProtoTrax setup, and operation associated with the CNC machining centers (Trax LPMs & Haas VF5-SS) as well as the operation of all other machinery typically associated with a machine shop. Our company's key objective is "Improving On-Time Delivery".
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Includes, but not limited to:)
- Create MasterCam programs to support various tooling components to be machined in the CNC machines
- Manufacture and Assembly of Fixtures and Tooling
- Fabricate parts using both CNC and manual machinery
- Perform preventative maintenance of CNC machine as well as standard machinery
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- US Persons only per ITAR Regulations
- Experience with Proto-Trak CNC Millers & Lathe
- Experience with Haas CNC centers
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a machine shop environment with machine setup
- Detail Oriented
- Ability to work independently in a diverse, fast paced team environment
- Proficient in blueprint reading including GD&T
- Knowledge of CNC cutting tools, machine feeds, and speeds for various materials
- Experience with inspection equipment including, Micrometers, Calipers and Bore, Height, Pin and Plug gauges
- Ability to do secondary operations on manual equipment
- Experience with SolidWorks a plus
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- MasterCam programming desired
- High School and/or Trade School Diploma
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing
