POSITION SUMMARY:
The Global Sales Manager is directly responsible for generating sales through consultative selling to existing and prospective commercial customers in Global Markets with a focus on Europe, Asia, and South America. The Sales Manager must be technically minded in order to understand a customer’s needs and to discuss and recommend products and solutions to satisfy those needs. The Sales Manager must have the ability to impress, gain confidence and build credibility and to convince customers that our approach provides the best solution to their test equipment requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- · Develop strategy for Bauer’s key commercial accounts in Europe, Asia, and South America.
- Work with other sales team members on strategies in other regions.
- Generate quality sales opportunities with good profit potential for existing and prospective customers.
- Develop and manage Bauer’s network of sales representatives around the world.
- Communicate and collaborate directly with customers to understand their needs and project requirements.
- Communicate and collaborate with sales application engineering and engineering to determine best technical solutions to meet customer needs and create advantages for Bauer.
- Participate in establishing priorities for opportunities based on win probability.
- Actively contribute to the development and execution of “win strategies” in close cooperation with sales team members for every worthwhile sales opportunity.
- Develop strong customer relationships.
- Collaborate closely with engineering to identify and discuss opportunities for product improvement and new product development.
- Effectively utilize CRM tool for information and productivity.
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 30%, or as determined by SVP Sales & Marketing.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 7+ years of sales experience
- Previous experience in capital equipment, engineered products
- Previous experience in aircraft component test equipment preferred
- Proven track record in leading and accomplishing sales initiatives
